Been in Rome twice. There's lots to see in Rome. I only saw the touristic highlights. Piazza di Spagnia, Piazza Venezia, Colluseum, The Vatican ( more details under The Vatican State) and St Angelo's Castle.

Trevi Fountain - Rome

Trevi Fountain

Mythbuster: It's not true that if you toss a coin in the Trevi Fountain you'll see Rome another time. The first time I was there I didn't bother to throw any coins. Was by the fountain exactly the year after on my second trip to Rome.
