Walking in the nomadic city

The nomadic city is the path itself, the most stable sign in the void, and the form of this city is the sinuous line drawn by the succession of points in motion. The points of departure and arrival are less important, while the space between is the space of going, the very essence of nomadism, the place in wich to celebrate the everyday ritual of eternal wandering.

The nomadic city is not the trail of a past left as a tracing on the ground, it is the present that occupies, again and again, those segments of territory on wich the journey take place, that part of the landscape walked, perceived and experienced in the "hic et nunc" of the transhumance.

Behind the voyage there is often a desire for existencial change. Travel is atonement for a sin, initation, cultural growth, experience

Journey, experience, danger, path

Behind the voyage there is often a desire for existencial change. Travel is atonement for a sin, initation, cultural growth, experience

The history of the origins of man is a history of walking, of migrations of peoples and cultural and religious exchanges.

Getting lost: "Getting lost means that between us and space there is not only a relationship of dominion, of control on the part of the subject, but also the possibility that space can dominate us. Although today no one would recommend us to change places, to come to terms with different worlds, to be forced to continuosly recreate our points of referene... in primitive cultures if someone never gets lost he never grows up.

Hi David! I was hooked in Pandora as well :) What a pity it's no longer accessible outside the USA! I wonder what you think about spanish singer Corcobado. Well, hope you can visit Ljubljana "soon" and if I can be of any help, please let me know :)
