Moshi is a surprising place with its good natured locals and great views. I found the place to be really relaxed and it is a perfect place to set up shop before heading out to Kilimanjaro, although most travellers do their outfitting and organising in Arusha. For birders, anglers and lovers of primates with a bit of time on their hands, Lake Duluti, on the Moshi road, is one of Africas hidden gems. Theres a campsite and it is a classic place to while away a lazy afternoon.
