Egypt is loaded with hotels and finding a top quality hotel in Cairo for a decent price is not easy to do despite the number of hotels in the city. Its large rooms have clean sheets and an AC and they even have a private washroom. Shared bathrooms are so clean they gleam. There is also a clean kitchen that travellers can use and if you stay more than four nights you get free airport transport. The staff is really friendly and informative making this one of the best options in the city.

Unique Qualities: Staff, free airport transport if you stay more than four nights (must if you want to really explore Cairo) and access to kitchen. The washrooms are brilliant.

I only stayed here for one night because I had a prior booking with another place but this place is def one of the friendliest hostels in the city. The location is absolutely prime and right in the middle of the action. There are around a dozen rooms and the hot water comes and goes but there is an area to meet other travellers and swap stories and read books. The breakfast room has a TV and you can use the kitchen for free. If I return to Cairo I will stay here.

Unique Qualities: Small Library, sat TV in the kitchen area and the staff are great.

I never stayed here but a few good friends of mine did and they said this hostel is a solid option. The place has been recently renovated which it has been needing for quite some time but it is a quality place for your dollar. Many rooms have AC and the bathrooms are spotless. There is even a great loung to relax and meet other travellers which includes cushions and a sat TV.
