Abu Dhabi is a classic Arabian city with expensive cars and homes and it is home to the Emirati government. Sheikh Zayed built the city from the bottom up and it is a modern day city buzzing with energy and wealth. Only 50 years ago Abu Dhabi was little more than a fishing village with some souqs and forts but now it is home to a thriving economy. The city is currently getting a face life with the 'Greening the Emirates' program with hundreds of millions of dollars a year being spent on improving the image of the city. Dubai is diverse and gives an inside look into expat life but Abu Dhabi gives a vivid insight into the Emirati style of life.
