Durring my ten day trip in Costa Rica, three of those days were spent in the surf town of Jaco. Known for its killer waves that atract international acclaim, as well as deadly rip-tides, Jaco has become a Central American Surf Mecca. It is the surfing that drives the economy, and for good reason. The waves are soo hard it is almost impossible to enjoy a leisurely swim (check Manuel Antonio for leisure). This does not make Jaco an undesireable place for someone who doesn't surf, just not as exciting. The nightlife however suits any partiers taste, as Jaco is jam packed with bars and clubs that serve nightly drink specials, often suited to the ladies taste. If you're into debauchery then step right up as Jaco's nightlife also includes plenty of hookers and soft drug dealing. Yes! |
