there's the natural wealth for which Sri Lanka is rightly renowned. Head for the hill country to escape the heat of the plains, where the coast fades away to reveal gorgeous rolling hills often carpeted with tea plantations.,

Sigiriya - Lion Rock

Gems are most commonly found in the following areas of Sri Lanka such as Rathnapura Ehaliyagoda, Kahawatte and etc. Gems are cut and polished to improve luster, which is an industry highly localized in above areas

These artifacts are manufactured by using only the tools particular to them and from raw materials found by in environment.

These handicrafts are an essential part of the Sri Lankan civilization. Sri Lanka being a country in the tropics, where many a colorful frontage of nature are ever-present, it is not out of place that many of these handicrafts are quite vivacious and spectacular. The kandyan highland is the Center of this highly contained crafts.
