Sioux Falls, The biggest city in the state of South Dakota and getting bigger everyday! Joe Foss (the famous WW2 fighter pilot) was born here, the airport is named after him and the South Dakota Air Guard is based there. It is also the home of 2005, 2006, and 2007 United Indoor Football champions, The Sioux Falls Storm.

Zip Feeds, the leaning tower in all its glory!!

The Zip Feed Mill had been the tallest building in Sioux Falls for about 50 years, but has been abandoned for the last 5. And now was to be imploded to make way for an office building, only one problem, it's built out of really soild reinforced cement! So insted of tiping over like a tree and becoming a big pile of rubble, it fell into its basement and sat down in there!

Dispite temperatures hovering around 10* with light snow, thousands of people came to see the building bite the dust, when it didn't, everyone started laughing like crazy. It was hilarious because it was just leaning there and was just cool. Thousands more came to see it in the following week and get their picture taken with it. It was even on the international news!

This event really benefited the local MS society who had been selling BOOM! T-shirts, tickets to viewing areas, and tickets to see who would push the button. They were even making OOPS! shirts to raise even more money.

They ended up bringing in a wrecking ball to take it down.

I wasn't able to attend one of the parties downtown, but enjoyed watching it lean on TV. On Sunday I did go see it and it was really cool. You won't be able to see the building anymore, but you will be able to stand in the spot where it was, an office building called Cherapa Place now occupies the site.

It's what you see as enter or leave Falls Park. It has quite a few unique shops and places to eat with many old, historic buildings, and some new ones too. It's where the Statue of David is located, where the old train depots are, and is the place where the Zip Feed Mill was leaning.
