I've been to Barcelona twice now. The first time was for a week in 2002, the second for 4 days in April 2005. The second trip was a birthday gift from my boyfriend cuz we both loved the city so much the first time. I don't know what it is about the city, but you can just feel the atmosphere, embedded with a Mediterranean love of good food and drink and taking time to enjoy life. People are out everywhere to have lunch, have a chat, walk the dog... Sure, their almost constant sunny weather helps, but it's like they can still soak it up even though they've lived in it their whole lives. |
