What a wonderful time we had! It was amazing how different sections of the city had completely different feels to them. Going to San Francisco was something that we had wanted to do for some time - we were not disappointed, to say the least. One of the first things we did was to take a city tour to better familiarize ourselves with the city - a smart move for us! Walking through Chinatown, around Union Square, through the Yerba Buena Gardens, through the Japanese Tea Garden, and along Fisherman's Wharf had completely different moods - all of which were enjoyable. We truly enjoyed riding the Cable Car and watching the "turn around" made us believe that we had stepped back in time and listening to the headsets on Alcatraz gave our imagination the spark it needed to envision what life must have been like "on the rock". The restaurants where we ate were top notch and our hotel, The Fairmont, was a true pleasure (and a piece of SF's history, surviving the 1906 fire). We hope to return soon! |

janetanne Sat Jan 14, 2006 06:45 UTC My son Eric, lives in SF! Your boys would have loved meeting him as he is a professional magician! check out his pages at www.comedymagic.com | keida84 Thu Aug 18, 2005 23:33 UTC How very perceptive you were about the men's checker game. I noticed the boys and their palentology, do you teach anthropology? Very nice SF page.
