"Assos - Behramkale" Assos by canadiantrav

Assos Travel Guide: 62 reviews and 202 photos

The rural seaside village of Assos or also known as Behramkale has a small harbour ( Iskele ) with quaint refurbished old stone houses and is really worth a stop on the way to Troy or Canakkale. Aristotle once lived here as well. Walking down the cobble stone road towards the harbour we watched the fishing boats approach with their catch. A large castle and the the Temple of Athena are some of the local attractions. Great views of the island of Lesvos on the Aegean sea.

This sounds like a nice place to stay/sleep when visiting this area.
