"Livin' in Lewes and lovin' it!" Lewes by lindainlewes

Lewes Travel Guide: 30 reviews and 66 photos

After three years as a regular visitor, I decided to move here permanently in 2002. I've fallen in love with the wonderful mix of a quaint historic shipbuilding town and easy access to any kind of shopping or dining cuisine you can imagine.

Visitors who are looking for a quiet town where window shoppers stroll the main street and still wave a friendly hello and chat about the weather over an ice cream cone will love downtown Lewes. It's a beautiful little seaside village with tons of history and lots of sightseeing.

Those that want more action are just minutes away from Rehoboth Beach, the boardwalk, and 140 outlet stores. Cape Henlopen State Park is next door, with gorgeous trails, beaches, camping, and fishing. And for NASCAR and slot fans...Dover Downs is just 45 minutes away!

There's never a shortage of things to do here, but you can also have a great time doing absolutely nothing! Welcome!
