Krakow Travel Guide: 4,415 reviews and 10,236 photos
Krakow is a hot tourist spot, no doubt about it. The problem is, after having passed through Moscow, Tallinn, Riga and Vilnius, this is one characteristic we didn't particularly like about Krakow.
On the other side, we must admit that there are plenty of reasons to visit this city, and we understand why it is so crowded.
We spent three days in Krakow, and we did a lot of walking, at all times of the day. We visited several areas: the old town, Kazimierz, the Vistula River and Podgórze (take a look at the Travelogues below).
The visit we did on our last day there deserves a special mention: Auschwitz and Birkenau. Both can be easily visited on a one-day trip from Krakow, and there are only 3 km from one to the other one.
After Krakow, we followed our trip back to Spain. Our next stop, Bratislava (Slovakia).
- Pros:Great city to walk around.
- Cons:Packed with visitors.
- In a nutshell:A very nice city, with interesting things to share with the many others that visit it, too.
