Name of Shop: Ron's Fresh Produce
This is a super little shop to stock up on meat from. Here you will pick up freshly made wors, chops, steak, burgers at a reasonable price. Well worth a trip before heading into the bush. We bought enough food here for 5 days in the reserves. You can also purchase fruit and veg here but we headed to the super market for these items. When returning to the South of the Country from the North, you will be unable to bring meat products back with you it will be confiscated at the veterinary gate. Cooked meats are allowed, although sometimes the officials get hungry and confiscate it anyway!

pchamlis Sat Jan 31, 2009 02:13 UTC Donna, I absolutely agree with your recommendation on visiting a school. We did that in Namibia and will always remember the experience. Very nice page. | nigelw6443 Mon Jan 12, 2009 22:11 UTC Nice one Donna and good luck with your trip in May. Happy New Year to you and yours! No exciting trips this year for me, have to wait for Henry to grow and business to run smoothly and maybe will finish the book? Take care. Nigel | SLLiew Sun Dec 7, 2008 19:23 UTC Great tips of Botswna. Now I know how to greet a local Botwanian :) Cheers, SL | MikeBird Fri Nov 21, 2008 20:00 UTC Terribly sad news to read Nata Lodge has burnt down! We spent our wedding night there back in 1987 and we had many other happy weekends camping there. Hope no one hurt? Enjoyed reading your tips - very nostalgic. Mike |
