This safari lodge situated just outside of Hluhluwe game reserve is second to non. A family run business, the personal touch is one that offers a home from home in the bush feel. Service is excellent, rooms are outstanding, they are reached via a wooden walkway through the bush and also featured is a lookout lounge, a great place after an evening meal to check out the animals in the park (it is possible to walk through the park without too much risk to oneself as there are no seriously dangerous animals here)
Unique Qualities: The camp has its own rangers, exceptional in their line of work, in fact I have been on several safaris but this was the best by far.
Whilst eating breakfast we watched zebra come to the pool to drink water and by the way, the food is outstanding, with all my favourite South African dishes on the menu, I came home with half the recipes from the kitchen. Monkeys played on our stoop and warthogs settled outside our door.
