When you visit Chicago, the Sears Tower dominates the skyline and begs tourists to visit her. Although pricey, the view from the observation deck is second to none. Security is intense, but you know you are safe. A fast elevator ride takes you all the way up and the view is spectacular. Lots to read up there and you can make out other Chicago landmarks.

At Least Do This: Go only on clear days, wear comfortable shoes, and park close to Buckingham Fountain so you can walk around the city a bit to get a feel for Chicago.
Alternative: If you don't like the Sears Tower, try the John Hancock. But I don't know how you can pass up the Sears.
