"Lake Como" a Bellagio Travel Page by abi_maha

We reached the Como railwat station from Milan at around 18:03. though the scenery around the station was picturesque, it was nothing spectacular. So we were just a little disappointed!
As instructed by our hostel manager, we took a bus(C10) to Menaggio. in less than two minutes after we boarded the bus all our doubts were dispelled! We saw the Lake Como-a huge expanse of water, so big that it was hard to imagine it was only a landlocked lake and not the sea! The one hour bus ride was fantastic and all the while not a single one of us uttered a word! We just sat looking at the scenery around, it was that beautiful!
Once we reached Menaggio bus stop, we got down to realise that La Primula, the hostel we had booked into was just a stone's throw away! It is a very picturesque place right on the main road, facing the lake!

Bellagio is small pictureque village on the opposite side of the lake (since we were staying at menaggio). It is a very pretty place-nice cobble stone pavements, colorful flowers all over the place and colorful ducks and geese in the lake! The number of birds here is amazing!
Quite a bit of shopping we did here-the shops are just so quaint and nice :-). A stroll through the streets is very pleasant and really a must do! For lunch head off the main streets into the by lanes-we stopped at a place in Via Centrale which had some yum pizzas and desserts! There is a park somewhere(thats where I am in the photo) that is quite delightful!
Once we got back to the ferrydock after all the 'strolling' we just boarded the ferry for another delightful ride back to Menaggio.
