Peaceful Island

Pulau Tioman is a very quite and peaceful island. I really enjoyed myself...but it is important to stay in the right village There are several villages on the island. Locals call them "Kampung", for example: Kampung Genting, Kampung Paya, Kampung Salang, etc. Kampung Genting is one of the cheaper areas for the budget traveler. Next time, I would rather pay a little more for a better resort.

It was wonderful to have a cool shower after our long journey from Johor Bahru to Pulau Tioman (about 2.5 hours) in super hot weather (32 to 34 C). The water was clear and cool. We took about 20 to 30 minutes to climb up the mountain.
