"Chicago" a Chicago Travel Page by Mairo21

Before I went to Chicago, all I knew about it was it was known as the 'Windy City.' I hadn't had much of a desire to visit this place until a friend of mine who has been living there for the past couple years convinced me to take a few days off to come visit him. I will admit, the desire to see something new, relax, and take a break from reality played factors aswell.

So, I left the sun and blue skies of Hawaii for a week, to trade off for the cold, overcast city. A trade off that I would not regret. The city is alive with lights, energy, art, food, and friendly people. It is well known for the skyline of the city, and let's not forget shopping. It is a shopper's paradise. My friend says it is like New York, but much cleaner...and the people are much friendlier. I suppose I'd have to go to NY to make my own comparison. Until then, I will keep Chicago in my mind...and I can't wait to go back to see it again. Perhaps next time I will go during the summer time when the temperature are more tolerable and palatable for me. :)
