SYDNEY

Sydney Opera House and the Sydney Harbour Bridge
Sydney is situated on Australia's eastern coastline within the state of New South Wales. Its harbour is often described as one of the finest in the world. It is home to over 4 million people and, while it is not the nation's capital, it is the oldest and largest city in Australia. It is pretty affordable. Not nearly as expensive as Europe can be. The people here are friendly and helpful, and it is very easy to find your way around the city after a few hours of walking and exploring. The main reason I wanted to go? I wanted to see lots of koalas and kangaroos, don't you?
Ibis
So, one day I was walking around Sydney harbour, and I happened to see this ibis. I am sure, people must have thought I was crazy because I kept following it around to take a good shot of it. I sat around for a bit and watched it pick berries of the ground. Now I know how other people feel when they trip out on the mynah birds back home. Australia is a animal lovers paradise!

Wow, your page brings back memories! I loved that aquarium too! Though I had hoped the Antarctic critters exhibit would be more comprehensive! We almost stayed at the Hilton but opted for the Marriott Quayside!
