"A football match in Homburg" Homburg by Airpunk

Can't say much about Homburg as a city – I just went there with a friend to see a football match and meet a colleague of him. My impression was that this former industrial town does not offer much to see. Right now, I can only find find very few reasons to travel to one of the remotest corners of Germany. But maybe, some of you can show me that Homburg is worth more than a fifth division football match.
By the way, the match was FC Homburg 08 Saar vs. FSV Salmrohr on October 15th 2011. It was a 2:2 draw and Homburg weakened themselves when one of their strikers was sent off with a red card in the first half. I pity the player who suffered the fould, but I had a similar feeling for the guy who comitted it. He was provoked by his own fans (!) for almost 40 minutes and the foul was surely a result of that pressure. Those so-called "fans" were really a shame for the club.
