This camping ground is located a little outside of the city, but easily reachable by public transport. It’s just a short walking distance away from ‘t Oor, a well frequented bus station in the middle of nowhere. Camping Waterhout is located very close to a lake where a couple of watersport facilities are available. As a family-run place, Waterhout is a place where a lot is done to make you feel well. The Fokkens even have a small pub where the one or other camper comes to at the evening. Ask them for discount cards for nearby attractions such as Lelystad’s Aviodrome or Walibi World Theme park. Facilities are clean, perhaps the only negative thing to say is that the shower building is closed for some time during the night. Toilets are open 24h, but bring your own toilet paper.
I can recommend this place to everybody who is on a camping tour. It’s quiet enough to make you feel comfortable and close enough to civilization.
