"Bologna - The two towers" a Bologna Travel Page by Airpunk

Many people know Bologna only because of some specialities like a tomato sauce with minced meat which has quite nothing to do with the city or a sausage called baloney which derived from the indeed bolognan Mortadella. So it was time for me to visit the city. Five hours in Bologna gave me a small overview about this big city in the Emilia-Romagna.

The city center is dominated by renaissance buildings made of red or brown bricks. Many old buildings are still standing - like 500 years ago very close to each other - giving the city a very dark shape. Only larger places an squares are really bright so that you can enjoy the sun. Nevertheless, the buildings in the city center are interesting impressive enough to say that Bologna is worth a trip.
