The history of Tuusula dates back to 1643. Today, Tuusula municipality is mostly rural with about 35.000 inhabitants. The largest village is called Hyryla and they have some industry and a few larger shops there. Other villages are Jokela, located by the railway tracks, and Kellokoski. |
Tuusula Lake There are two lakes in Tuusula and this is the bigger one. This picture was taken at dusk just before sunset. |
Tuusula Church Tuusula Church (1734) is the main tourist attraction of Tuusula and a very popular church for weddings! I think they have services each sunday. Nice architecture and nice lakeside location. |
