Place which have everything It is my second trip to KK (first time was 5 years ago) but it's this trip when I fully grasped how nice the place is and how worthwhile it is to go back. It's called Land Below the Wind because the place is just below the typhoon belt, which makes it an ideal place to live, visit or retire! Why? Because it pretty much has everything...the convenience of everyday modern life, and yet, you're so close to nature. You can see the gorgeous sunset just by strolling along Tanjong Aru beach; Or jog along the sands of Karambunai beach with the sunrise; or you can choose to climb up the highest peak in Southeast Asia (Mt. Kinabalu); or just have a walk along the rainforest of Kinabalu Park; or have yummy seafood at reasonable price. And did I mention how friendly the Sabahans? I met someone during our flight and she volunteered to take us around!!! Talk about real Sabahan hospitality :-) |
