The Hotel de Ville - or city hall - is from French Colonial times with its beautiful architecture. With Ho Chi Minh resting on the square in front of it, the city hall is in the center of the old heart of the Saigon with all the other famous buildings in walking distance.

The Notre Dame Cathedral is still in use but not open to the public all day long. So I couldnt take a look from the inside, but it is also a popular place for locals to take wedding pics - which I witnessed several times.

Well, dont think of it as just another post office - though you can still send your postcards, letters and parcels to your family and friends all over the world from here. But the rich architecture is from Colonial times, and that means grandiose art. You are warmheartedly welcome by a supersize portrait of Uncle Ho inside the hall.
