"The isle of Enoshima Island" Fujisawa by yukisanto

One of the largest aquariums in Japan, the Enoshima Aquarium is also the location set of a Japanese drama, Nagareboshi (流れ星). The jellyfish hall is memerizing, where you can just immerse yourself in the floating, dreamy world of the moon jelly. There's also the dolphin shows, which are very entertaining. Entrance fee to the aquarium is 2000yen, which is not cheap, but definitely very worth it.

Don't miss the Kame-pan (melon bread in the shape of a turtle) at the aquarium. They're cute!

This place, together with the Enoshima island, makes for a good day trip, going on a date or just hanging out, with minimal tourists.

That just about sums it up what Enoshima　江の島 is all about.

I Iove this place. And the views of the seas. Ooh, the winds are strong too. And there are many hawks flying low over your head. It's literally a breath of fresh air from the urban jungle of Tokyo.

Be prepared for stairs and more stairs on the island. There is an escalator available for 500yen, which we took.

Actually we bought an enopass for 1000yen, which allowed us to take the escalator for free, as well as free entry into the gardens/lighthouse, the Iwaya Caves and discount at some of the shops.
