Portland Oregon is a well kept secret here in the Northwestern United States. It is actually one of the "REAL" livable cities left. Sure there is the urban sprall to the east and west of our town, but If you still value walking in a downtown area that isn't enclosed in a strip mall....PORTLAND is the place to visit.
People here like walking out of doors, pushing their babies in strollers, and playing with their dogs in the parks. And talk about PARKS!, this is one GREEN town. That's because of all the rain we get in the winter.
Of course many visitors are fooled by coming in summer and thinking WOW! what a great place to come, groove, chill, and hit the wilderness at a moments notice.
Yep, it's my kinda town.
