Luggage And Bags: One rolling bag per person. The pulling of one of these over a series of bridges will leave you at your wits end.
Clothing/Shoes/Weather Gear: If you must wear those awful white Nikes that look like boats with two legs attached try to wear nice slacks along with them. You can always tell the americans because they look like they are on the way to the gym and 75 lbs overweight. I hear that rubbers are great for when the Square floods.
Toiletries & Medical Supplies: Have sinus meds, bug repelent in summer, and things for upset stomach.
Photo Equipment: Have more film than you expect. Digital card should hold hundeds of photo. And don't be shy of taking them. Everyone in Venice is taking pictures to show back home.
