Welcome to Dushi Curacao!

'Dushi' being the local word meaning sweetness. This island truly holds something for everyone. No wonder it made Frommers top 10 list for 2012.

After 4 days here, I feel that I barely got a taste of all the interesting things this island holds. The snorkling/diving is some of the best in the world. The Seaquarium provides the opportunity to swim with dolphins. There are dozens of incredible beaches, each offering something unique. The natural sights on the west end of the island (Shete Boka, Watamula) are some of the most impressive I have seen anywhere. And Willemstad is home to numerous historical and cultural sights (Floating Market, Queen Emma Bridge, Scharloo). The Hato Caves are also an excellent time.

For anyone who is willing to step a little outside their comfort zone & explore this tremendous island ... you will be rewarded with a trip to remember forever.

• Pros:beaches, snorkling, & dynamic landscapes ... not yet commercialized
• Cons:cruise goers may not truly appreciate all this island offers
• In a nutshell:Not your standard Carribean island
