Work, Work, Work

by mwenn2100 - last update: Aug 24, 2006

I traveled to Houston for work so unfortunately I didn't really get to explore the city after working 10 hour days which is a shame because I can't say that I really want to go back for pleasure. Don't get me wrong, it was a nice city and the people were super friendly, but as far as wasting money and vacation time on a destination... I wouldn't for Houston.

I was in Houston for 10 days and worked everyday in the Westchase district which is I guess a suburb of the city? Most sites to see were closed by the time I got off work and I ended up spending a lot of quality time either shopping or relaxing in my hotel room.

Since I had never been to Texas, it's a shame that I didn't get to venture outside of Houston, but I am excited to some day visit other cities in this state (I hear that Austin is beautiful)!

I hadn't made it to Houston yet. I'm surprised about the lack of signage. Seemed everywhere I went in Texas, the roads were clearly marked and easy to travel. Oh well. Hope you birthday isn't a traffic jam!
