"Sleepy Lake Town" Stonington by mwenn2100

My ex boyfriend is originally from Escanaba and his parents own a summer home in Stonington so we drove up there for the weekend. Thinking it would be a fun filled weekend of jet skiing and lake activities... it was about 40 degrees outside so that put a stop to most of the fun things to do there.

The town itself is about 30 minutes outside of Escanaba. There is one main road and when you get off it most of the roads are dirt or gravel. It is beautiful with Lake Michigan, forests and large open spaces. I would imagine that if you're visting Stonington then you're either visiting family or friends or your renting a cabin. There's not much to do here unless you want to do lake activities, but it's a fun chill weekend to hang out with friends and just enjoy eachothers company.
