The city itself is very nice, large plazas, streets are lined with a canopy of trees. Day trips to the vineyards are available, but my recommendation is to book visits to some of the better vineyards that are not on the tour bus routes. Most including Chandon are available for a visit as long as you book in advance. Private car hires, remis, is available through the hotels.
A trip up to Aconguaga is well worth the effort. It is the tallest peak in the Americas and the drive up is spectacular. |
| | Trip to Aconguaga The trip up is a long day, but you follow the path of San Martin's army that marched across the Andes to defeat the Spanish. |
| Aconguaga in all its glory |
| | Aconguaga Nothing short of WOW |
