Palm Springs City Resort is a fine old hotel, with a wonderfully friendly staff and the perfect place to stay after a busy day shopping in Chiang Mai. A tuk-tuk ride back to town is only 5 minutes away and will cost you only 80 bhat. We have been staying here since 2002 and just love it. There is one restaurant just a few minutes away which specializes in fish, but we more often than not just stop by the market on the way home. Market food often is better than restaurant food and is far cheaper. Two can eat like kings for less than $5.
