I guess that nearly every person in the world has heard about Heidelberg and its reputation to be one of the most beautiful German cities... I had heard the same, of course, but never managed to go there until this June. And believe me: Heidelberg really is cool! |
|  | Approaching the old town from the Neckar meadows, I first caught a glimpse of the famous castle in the warm evening sun, feathery clouds hovering above it... Then I walked through the long pedestrian zone until I reached the market place - and by then I had more or less fallen in love with Heidelberg.
The city's charm mostly comes from its unique atmosphere. The wonderful Neckar valley, the romantic castle, the foresty hills around Heidelberg, and lots of history. It's a place that you will want to visit over and over again. |
