Strange enough I had never really been much interested in going to NYC despite loving big and anonymous cities. But NYC never occurred to me as comparable with London, one of my all-time favourites. Never, until my parents went there some years ago and came back with a hell lot of pictures and exciting stories. So in my mind the plan grew to some time go there myself and enjoy the city and all its facets. This, however, meant spending more time there than just a day or two. When I planned my Canada trip I checked my maps if it was possible to combine it with some days in NYC. It was, and there I went! I arrived in NYC on September 26th, 2007, and stayed until October 1st which allowed me to get some more insights and which also transmitted the New York virus - I JUST HAVE TO COME BACK!!!

New York City is high on our list of cities to visit in the near future. Chinatown and Little Italy sound interesting to visit and explore, and so are the Times Square and Central Park. Thanks for your virtual tour with stunning photographs. ~ho & pang

Little Italy, the church w/ Ground Zero displays, the tenement museum...you've hit some wonderful highlights. The very best of it all is that fabulous ferry ride from Staten Island. Great view of the big apple.

The airport diner on the Grand Central P'way was not always a Jackson Hole ( a small chain ) but was always the best. N.
