|  | I went to Liverpool with some students doing an excursion in the context of Liverpool being the European Capital of Culture 2008. While the Beatles story was certainly one of the things I knew about the city, I must admit that I expected it to be rather dull apart from that... kind of an old shabby worker's city. |

Hi I enjoy reading visitor's reviews of my home town! A lot of shops do offer student discounts but don't always advertise the fact very well so it's always worth asking. Most of the larger chain stores on Church Street do offer discounts. |
