Somewhere in Dartmoor NP - Dartmoor National Park

Dartmoor NP is one of England's wildest and most untouched areas, a region where you are often more likely to meet a sheep than a human being along the way. I very much enjoy places that are so silent that you can literally hear your own breathing. It's a hiker's paradise with numerous tracks leading through incredibly beautiful areas, sometimes along clear streams in forests full of crooked oaks, sometimes up steep hills overgrown with bracken and gorse. But then, suddenly, there's life: You've found a picturesque pub in a tiny village in the middle of nowhere and you can relax your feet and appease your hunger with a delicious Ploughman's Plate. And you know that all the effort was worth it.

Golo, great start about the Dartmoor National Park here. Your B&B really sounds like a fabulous find. I once crossed the Dartmoor by historic bus.
