La Roque-Gageac Travel Guide: 17 reviews and 74 photos

La-Roque-Gageac is one of the most beautiful places I've ever seen. Squeezed between the river Dordogne and a giant rock, the tiny village snuggles up to the rock and is not much wider than an average highway. (Please excuse the stupid comparison!) All of its houses line the one road leading through it, and a few more cling to the rock itself. I'm not good in describing the atmosphere of the village without rummaging deep in the cliché box - you should just go there and see it yourself!

Have a look at my La-Roque-Gageac tip, visit other nice places nearby like Sarlat-la-Canéda, Domme or Brantôme - or continue your virtual tour of my pages here!

Lucky you! Make sure to see the village in the lovely evening sunlight - it's pure magic!
