The most "spanish" city on the Costa del Sol

by klubkidd80 - last update: May 9, 2005

Many people flock to the Costa Del Sol region of Spain for the weather. It has, for ages, been really popular with the British and the Germans. The thing is so many people use Malaga only as a gateway to Marbella or Torremolinos and skip past the city altogether! Well if you fell victim to this ...or were thinking of doing it on your trip to that area, think again! Malaga is still a nice authentic spanish city. There are nice beaches too its just not overrun with English speaking people and signage! Not that I have anything against mass amounts of tourists, but if you go to Spain, wouldn't you like to be immersed in the culture?? Malaga gives you that and at the same time you're not horribly far from the more "touristy" areas if you yearn for it that badly!

Pros:"Incredible weather for summer"
Cons:"Not too much to do in the off season in ways of clubbing"
In A Nutshell:"Nice for a quiet, relaxing trip to Spain"

You should add that sitting on the nice benches under the trees is - due to the pigeons - also dangerous by daylight ;-))
