i have visited munich twice , but definately my first time was the most memorable. our trip started in florence, as we road tripped it through the italian alps, austria, and finally in munich. mmunich is cute and clean. the architecture is imposing but very bavarian.
that weekend of munich was a drinking fest that begun the moment we got into our 10 person van, we drank and sang all the way there.ohh and it definately didnt stop there we had a weekend of oktorberfest to look forward to.
oktoberfest was maybe the craziest celebration ever. i have seen a lot, and i mean a lot, but nothing compares to tons of huge tents that house hundreds and hundreds of drunk men. and i mean drunk. the ration is like 50;1and mud and throw up line the ground as grown men in lederhausen sing and cheers their huge stines together nearly shattering the glasses. finding a table is basically imposible and you are grabbed at from left, right, above, below, and from everywhere else imaginable,, girls practice your self defense moves. on our second night of festives, or actually afternoon, everyone is drunk at about 9 am, we stumbled across and group of aussies. we were walking across the slippery tables when i fell literally into the arms of none other than martin rice. i remember thinking wow, he is so cute. the boys and us ended up partying together the rest of the night and early into the next morning. munich was ridiculous amounts of fun, we all were left with perma-smiles for months.
munich is an extremely charismatic city, so clean and cute. plus they have the best H&M, truely essential for backpacking in euro. the beer is amazind and comes in quantities that i could have never imagined. the pretzels are the size of your head, and the st. pauli's girl really do exist. the energy and camraderie is through the roof, everyone should experience an oktoberfest at least once it there life. essential. |
