"Notre Dame" South Bend by mikehanneman

My son and I took a trip to Ohio last week. Along the way we noticed that we would go through South Bend, home of Notre Dame. We decided to drive through the campus.

It seemed like a very modern and clean campus to us. It was cool to see "touchdown Jesus" and the gold dome. A person watches a lot of football during the fall and Notre Dame always semms to be on.

I noticed that the newly opened Football Hall Of Fame is located in South Bend too.

I didn't have the time to stop but that would be a fun and interesting thing to do if you were in the area.

It was interesting that there was a cemetery right on campus as soon as you drove in. Not unusual for Catholics.

• Pros:Nice campus, a lot of history
• Cons:None, just a nice drive through experience
• In a nutshell:Smaller city for a college like Notre Dame
