A magical place in Val D'Orcia

In the beautiful scenery of Val D'Orcia (Unesco heritage in Siena's province) you cannot miss Bagno Vignoni. It used to be a termal bath since a very long time and the most ancient pool is right in the centre of the village. The legend tells that even Santa Caterina di Siena was used to bath there. In such ancient pool it is not permitted to have a bath but there are modern termal baths where you can enter also for few hours.

these are the swimming pool of Adler resort. It is owned by a family which run a very well known hotel in Ortisei, Sud Tirol. They have built a piece of Sud Tirol in Tuscany: this is a nonsense. If you want to stay in an Adler, go to Ortisei (Sud Tirol)

Bagno Vinoni one of the most enchanting places I have visited -- Val d'Orcia is wonderful, I remember visiting a very old Romanesque abbazia, but can't remember its name :(
