It is still odd to be able to walk through the Brandenburg Gate even though the wall has now been down for well over a decade. It is however still somewhat a dividing line, as a few KM further into the east of Berlin you are very aware by the stark grey concrete buildings, that were built in the communist days.
- Pros:Still as vibrant a city as ever
- Cons:Berlin is currently a building site, with construction everywhere
- In a nutshell:Wonderful to be able to go to the East without the dreaded checkpoints
