From Manila, if you take the inner road called McArthur Highway, you will see that Talimundoc is the first Barrio belonging to the town of Orani. Talimundoc is a small barrio and there is nothing much that differentiates it from the other barrios except that it has Labiña Resort in the area.

A line of houses flanks the highway with several side streets branching out and flanked by more houses. It is a very rural setting with rice fields, cows, grazing areas and mountains in the background.

The road leading to the resort has been intentionally left rough so visitors can be treated to a gentle massage bouncing around in their cars/jeeps/bicycles or bikes. The unevenly paved road provide pedestrians visual stimulation as they concentrate hard on not tripping and also provides entertainment as it takes several minutes to get from the entrance of the barrio to the resort. Approximately 5 - 10 minutes depending on whether the resident "askals" (street dogs) decide to make a sport of chasing you. Yes, another perk..... you can get an early start at that running workout. If you tire of the sport, just pick up a rock or use an umbrella to ward off the dogs. If you decide to scare them away by pelting them with rocks, please look at what you are picking as there are also practical-joker-cows who snigger whenever people fall prey to the dungcakes they leave behind strategically on the road. I'd advise you against wearing red if you are planning to walk or bike in the area in case that crazy cow is still out there chasing anything that is red. Do not disturb or pick up cute snakes that spread their hoods when you go near them. These are what is affectionately known as "Ulupong" or Philippine Cobra. Snake sometimes cross the road from the rice fields because it drives them crazy why chickens always do it. They sometimes while away the afternoon puzzling it out hence their sometimes surprising appearance on the road. If you have your own means of transportation and you happen to see bull frogs lining the road, please stop and open your car door. So many of these poor creatures have died getting in the way of cars in the hope of earning bragging rights of having experienced "Air Conditioning".

Heheheh... just kidding. The place is very safe and tends to be too placid so I thought to spice it up a bit. The residents of Talimundoc are mostly quiet, simple and friendly. Do not hesitate to ask for help with directions if you find yourself lost although it would be impossible for you to miss the resort as the area is really not that big. .
