With twelve years of German between us, my best friend and I decided that it would be a shame to waste it; found some excellent deals on flights (especially excellent as Kari got to have another go on the ERJ-145 ... she's sad like that); an even more excellent deal on a five star hotel (bless you, hotwire) and decided that Frankfurt had to be the place.
In our whirlwind visit we had a pleasant stroll around, visited the Roemer, saw the 'cathedral' and Kari stepped closer to overcoming her boatage fear (several bad experiences as a child) on a pleasant, educational and relaxing cruise down the river. We also sampled some German Burger King (hehe) and practised our rusty German on the locals and blinked blankly when they replied to us. Just kidding.
There's not a lot I didn't like about Frankfurt, really. |

Nemorino Fri Aug 31, 2007 18:16 UTC Wow, you seem to have had nothing but law-and-order when you were here in Frankfurt! Believe it or not, we local residents can go for weeks or months on end without any dealings with any sort of authorities. I hope you enjoyed your visit, anyway. |
