All conjures up an idyllic, peaceful scene. Blackpool isn't quite peaceful, and some would say it's not idyllic either, but it is one of the UK's most popular destinations with things to do to entertain all ages, from cradle to premature grave. Between illuminations, clubs and pubs, the world famous Tower, candy floss, the Pleasure Beach and three piers there's bound to be something you'll enjoy ... if only for a day.

I've been visiting Blackpool all my life, and lived in the area for most of it, so it's difficult for me to enthuse about the touristy things for which it is so famous, but people visit each year in their droves and walk away happy ... time and again.
