Where I am
I live near Blackpool, Lancashire, which has been one of the most famous holiday destinations in the UK since the 19th century. In the early days, people flocked for the sea air (which was supposed to have healing qualities); later the town progressed to become a typical family seaside resort, and now attracts people from all over the UK.
From a personal point of view, I'm not really a fan of Blackpool itself as it's a bit crowded, but the surrounding area is very nice. The picture shows Cleveleys which is my nearest town.

Where I want to be
Spring took me to Atlanta (on business really but who says I can't have fun as well?) which was far better than I remembered it being 14 years ago, and I can't wait to go back there next year. I also went to Paris for a first glimpse of France, which I enjoyed but I wouldn't go out of my way to go back to Paris ... France maybe. I'm going for a whirlwind break to Frankfurt am Main in August. Hurrah!
I have an overwhelming desire to see Malta, as the history fascinates me and I think it would be just the right mix of sightseeing and gentle relaxation. Unfortunately time hasn't permitted me to visit yet, but one day I hope! :) There's a lot of places in Europe that I would like to see: Dubrovnik, Germany as a whole, Lisbon, Stockholm, Ljubljana, Reykjavik, Athens, Vienna ... the list goes on! Further afield, New Zealand is a top priority, as is Atlantic Canada. I love Canada :)

What else?
Soon I plan to add some full travelogues to this page (when I've written them up) so that should keep me occupied for a while.
Aside from travelling and dreaming about where I want to go next, I love flying (same thing, really :) ), cricket, ice hockey, (these two go very well together :) ) reading and writing. Drop me an email :)
