It shows the Saint Lawrence Marine Eco-system - is an estuary habitat modeled on the Gulf of Saint Lawrence. Soem weird fish can be seen from there, and for the first time in my life I saw DUCK DIVERS!!!

MY SOUTH AMERICAN FELLOWS IN MONTREAL

The Biodome by RTL
All the exhibits are housed inside the Velodrome (cycling stadium) that was used for the 1976 Summer Olympics, with each of the four environments taking up a portion of the stadium. A variety of animals live in each simulated habitat, ranging from the macaws in the Tropical Forest, to the lynx in the Laurentian Forest, to the penguins in the Antarctic and the different kinds of fish that inhabit the waters of the Saint Lawrence River.
This is one of the city's most popular tourist attractions, along with the Montreal Botanical Garden, Montreal Planetarium and the Montreal Insectarium.
The place is opened all over the year except the Insectarium which is something YOU MUST DO DURING THE SUMMER!
I think a visit to the Biodome is a great issue for the schools, as when I was there I saw these little cute kids getting to know the resources of their own lands!

This is a HUGE CATHEDRAL!;) BY RTL!
In the Barroc church the more beautiful the ceiling is, the more fascinating is the entrance to Heavens...Montreal has no barroc churches but it seems that they seemed to agree with this point of view!
Montreal has strong tradition and Montreal has history! Not so old as we are used here in South America but they do have a HISTORY!;) Fascinating one by the way!;)

The centre of the church by RTL
At the St. Peters Basilica you will see it but in a large version, Montreal had something inspired but I do not know how to call it even in portuguese!;) but I am sure you know what I mean, right in the center of the church, when you trully believe that you are in Paradise!
I am not a deep catholic person, but I know when I can have the Peace of God!;))))

The interior of Cathédrale Marie-Reine-du-Monde
WOW....By visiting that cathedral I realize how ridiculous the Cathedral of Rio de Janeiro is...But anyway, it was just an historical mistake that I hope one day they can trully correct it. anyway, this is the temple of meditation in Canada, this is the silence of Montreal's soul, this is where my soul looks for a warm shelter in such a freezing canadian winter!
Quebec is cold, but it can be warm not only in the summer, but in this brave spirit of its people!

I am proud to be in the city, MONTREAL IS FABULOUS
Actually Her address is in the beautiful province of quebec, in a very funny town called Montreal. I was there and found this majestic cathedral which in english they call Mary Queen of the World Cathedral, but for the Montrealers (great friends I have there!) they simply know this incredible church as Cathédrale Marie-Reine-du-Monde.
One architect called Victor Bourgeau designed the church in august 1870 but only in 1894, people could enter in the church...and when they just cross the door, you will see next!!!

Rafael in the wild part of Montreal
In the winter I jsut saw white landscapes everywhere but I saw also a very thick pine forest, the Ile de la visitacion is one of the parks of Montreal. I made a round tour in the island and I visit the wildest part of Montreal, a city full of parks and nature around Prairies River. it is also a very important historical spot in the city!
