CHEAP WAY TO STAY IN THE BEST OF RIO and other Rio de Janeiro, Brazil Hotel/Accommodation Reviews

Leblon is one of the best and well off area in Rio de Janeiro, very close to Ipanema, with nice discos (Melt is there!) and cozy bars, and lots of facilities like restaurants, bars and the beach in less than two blocks from the where you can stay.

This apartment is located at Almirante Guilhem Street, it is very close to the beach!

Unique Qualities: The rooms are very big, one beddroom, a big living room, functional kitchen and two bathrooms. The buildings has a nice restaurant a cool swimming pool and a nice gym centre. Doormen 24 hours!

Directions: Rua Almirante Guilhem is very close to Ipanema Beach and right next to the Jardim de Alah channel!

Well, if you want to meet travellers in Rio and stay in a very informal environment, this is the best option for sure!

The Easy hostel is located in Urca, it is an island of peace in the big and busy Rio, the neighborhood is really charming and very traditional, it is in fact one of the ebst districts of Rio!

Unique Qualities: They will charge you in Reais and this will be very cheap for you, the dorms are excelent, all provided by hot showers, and they have a nice swimming pool, you can use the kitchen, it is very nice for sure!

Directions: When you enter in urca you should go to the St. John Fortress (Forte São João), the street is the main commercial street of Urca, near the UNIBANCO!

It is a mix of hostel and guest house, everytime I go there I feel like home, in the back yard you can relax under a welcome shade, and enjoy the fresh air of their plants!

Unique Qualities: Cool place for reading and plan your activities in Rio, and a nice spot for sleeping, do not forget that you can also have a private room for you, you wuill pay a little bit more, but you can talk with the manager Roberta, she is an incredible person and will give you the first greetings of our exciting city of Rio!

Directions: This is the main street of Urca, this is the district where the Sugar Loaf is located and you will be right in the bottom of the mountain!

for sure staying in a hostel is the ebst way to understand life in a typical neighborhood. And rio has some cool options here in Urca, in Copacabana and Ipanema as well.

Urca is more residential and there is not means of accomodation but the hostel, so you will feel unique, and part of the people who live in Urca!

Unique Qualities: Roberta, works there, and she will be the one who will make your life easier in Rio, she speaks good english and she is such a great and funny person, she knows alot about what is hot and neat to do in the city!

Ahhhh the hostel has airport picking up!

This is not a budget hotel, but if you have a little bit more to waste in your trip to rio, you can enjoy the city with confort and safety. Great swimming pool on the top of the building, all kind of rooms and great restaurant inside the hotel.

Just like all hotels in the beach area, they include breakfast, and the food is spectacular!

The service is very efficent and friendly, and for sure people never regreat to stay there, I personally like this hotel, and their location in Copacabana is simply great!

Many facilities all around like bars, restaurant, discos, and a great taxi service!

Directions: their Majestic Presence can be easily seen in the middle of Copacabana beach!

Some people stay in a hotel room, with a large room, and a nice bathroom, and for sure they are confortable, but I prefer paying the same or even less to stay in a whole BIG APARTMENT, with a master living room, master bedroom, another guest room for my friends, a very complete kitchen, nice services areas, two nice bathrooms, and what I most love: PRIVACY.

You can easily rent an apartment, I always do that for myself and also for my friends who come here and visit me!

Unique Qualities: The building is located in the best part of Copacabana beach and very close to Ipanema, the best neighborhoods in the ocean zone of Rio, not so far from Leblon as well. The safety is well guaranteed, and you will can wake up almost every day with a gorgeous sunrise in the ocean, viewing the mountains of Rio including the Sugar Loaf, and the mountains and fabulous beaches of Niteroi.

And the experience to be in a regular high middle class building, will make you feel part of the happy and spontaneous CARIOCAS (native of Rio).

This experience will add fun and culture to your trip, of course I would strongly recommend this option, at least you will have your freedom and many chances to be in Rio not as a tourist, but as part of our family!

You can share the daily fee with more people, and it becomes real cheap because the apartment is big and you can share your stay with yourdearest folks!

Directions: the beach of Copacabana is divided in POSTOS (let's say MEETING POINTS), and the building is in the POSTO 6, in the end of the beach whioh is the best place in the beach to stay!!!

This is a very functional apartment, some friends of mine stayed in this apartment. It is also located in the main street between Ipanema and Copacabana, close to both beaches and the famous rocks of Arpoador. All facilites nearby, banks, groceries, discos, restaurants, and lots of transportation facilities such as bus stop in front of the building.

Francisco Sá Street is one of the best streets of Copacabana, it is located two blocks from Copacabana Beach and 3 blocks from Ipanema Beach.

The street is also part of the famous POSTO SEIS.

Unique Qualities: The apartment has one room, big one, with a small living room complete kitchen and a very decent bathroom. The neighborhood is funny and very interesting, it is a typical middle class building of Rio.

It is always better to rent an apartment where you can have total privacy!

Directions: This is the connecting street between Copacabana and Ipanema.

In that very same street and also in the same building, there is a bigger apartment. Same facilities because this is street has a very strategic location in both districts of Ipanema and Copacabana. I have a german friend and also a finnish couple who stayed there, and they really enjoyed! It is indeed a very nice apartment, and very functional too, but this is a bigger one!

Unique Qualities: This one has a big living room, a large sofa bed, a cool dining table..a cool kitchen. The bathroom was recently remodelled, and the master room is enormous.

It is a perfect apartment for a nice stay in Rio, close to the beach and where everything happens: IPANEMA!

And with the facilities of Copacabana, then their stay were perfect!
